SGE hosts Aladdin high tea to update maintenance managers on the latest technological developments in the industry

On 28 April 2016, SGE successfully hosted a High Tea & Aladdin presentation at the Westin Hotel for companies interested in and associated with maintenance across industries. The event was attended by executives from prominent organizations, including Holiday Inn, Unikai Foods, Sharjah National Hotels, One & Only – Royal Mirage Hotel, Spectra Wide Technical Services and Warwick Hotels.

The primary purpose of the event was to discuss the importance of Computerized Maintenance Management Software (‘CMMS’) in any industry and to introduce Aladdin as a solution for effective maintenance management. Upon arrival, the guests networked as they nibbled on the exquisite canapes and beverages prepared by the Westin Hotel. Once the guests were seated, the Directors of SGE extended a warm welcome to them and gave a brief description of the company’s businesses before proceeding with the presentation.

“When we came to the Middle East, we immediately realized that two biggest challenges faced by the maintenance industry”, said Mr. James Allen Gantt, the Managing Director of SGE. “One – CMMS in this region were exorbitantly priced and beyond the reach of small and medium size businesses. And secondly, most of the software out there still looked like DOS and was so complicated to use that maintenance departments didn’t use them even after purchasing them. Our vision for Aladdin was that we wanted to come up with a software that was affordable, user-friendly and yet broad based and deep enough to adequately meet all the needs of the maintenance department.”

After extensive discussions on the importance of CMMS and a demonstration of Aladdin, the participants concurred that CMMS was the way forward and SGE had achieved its vision for Aladdin. Having approached other CMMS providers in the region, the event attendees strongly felt that Aladdin truly is user-friendly, power packed with features and yet still remained the most affordable software in the market! During the Question and Answer segment, everyone present richly benefited from the insights each guest shared on the challenges maintenance departments faced in managing maintenance manually in the absence of a CMMS.

The High Tea marked the first of SGE’s events planned to update maintenance managers on the latest technological developments in their industry and to give them an opportunity to network with their peers across industries.
